Blast Gates (Cut Offs)

Blast gates, also referred to as cut-offs, should be part of every dust collection system. Blast gates allow you to control the air flow to machines increasing the efficiency of the dust collection system. By closing blast gates to machines that are not running and opening the blast gates to machines that are running, it permits more air flow to the machines that are operating maximizing the suction (pick-up).  KTM blast gates are manufactured in a cast aluminum each with a galvanized steel slide blade and an adjustable locking set screw.

Cast Aluminum Blast Gates (Full)

KTM full blast gates, also known as cut-offs, are the type most commonly used. They are used to divert air flow to machines that are operating and away from idle machines by opening and closing the blast gates. Cast Aluminum Blast Gate (Half)

KTM offers half blast gates where there is a tendency for material to clog or those situations where  the material is abrasive since the blast gate has no internal obstructions.
